Retailer reaction to the new Surface Pro 3

Its been just over a week since the Surface Pro 3 launched in Canada. It was unveiled by Microsoft Canada at the Surface Cafe in downtown Toronto. But, what’s been the reaction so far from the retail channel? CDN interviews Elliott Chun of FutureShop to get his views on the new tablet/notebook device from Microsoft Canada. The retailer is positioning the Surface Pro 3 at the business community and for customers large and small. FutureShop has a commercial division that focuses on business and the Surface Pro 3 will be featured in that group. FutureShop will also take part in the new Trade-in Program for the Surface Pro 3. The program will work similar to how a car dealership trade-in program. Microsoft’s Surface Trade-in Program will target customers who are looking to get rid of their iPads or Android-based tablet devices. These devices will be assigned a value and that dollar amount will be put towards the purchase of a Surface Pro 3 or a Visa gift card.
