Ingram Micro on mentoring at CDN Women of the IT channel event

TORONTO – Ingram Micro Canada the sponsor of the CDN Women of the IT Channel recognition luncheon provided two great speakers for the event.

Outgoing president Mark Snider who was just recently named the new leader for Ingram Micro Europe, Middle East & Africa has been at this event since the beginning. He presented a new speaker in Lori Scarlett, the HR director for Ingram Canada at this year’s event.

Scarlett talked about the importance of mentoring young women. The company invited four young channel professionals to attend the 2016 CDN Women of the IT Channel Recognition luncheon.

In this video feature, Scarlett outlines how Ingram gives back to young women in the field.

“As woman leaders we all wrestle with balancing the many things we have on the go at work & home and giving back to the next generation of young woman,” she said.

We know that there are many ways we can give back to those who are young in their career.

These include;

  • providing coaching
  • mentoring
  • assist in creating their development plan
  • introduce them to people in your network/community
  • Help them increase their visibility within company and industry.
