ViewSonic targets creative professionals with latest HD monitor

ViewSonic introduced a new high-definition monitor tailored to the needs of creative professionals. The VP2468 is a 24-inch full HD 1080p monitor designed to provide colour accuracy, making it most ideal for graphic artists, photographers, videographers and other creative professionals and agencies.

The new monitor features an edge-to-edge SuperClear IPS panel, pro-level colour precision and has a thin bezel for frameless viewing. According to ViewSonic, the VP2468 was engineered with integrated colour uniformity to ensure a consistent chromaticity across the entire screen.

The monitor also comes equipped with hue and saturation fine tuning capabilities, as well as five gamma settings professionals can use to get the look they need out of the monitor. Each unit is calibrated to a Delta E≤2 value to provide high accuracy of all the included colour spaces, including sRGB, EBU, SMPTE-C, REC709 and DICOM-SIM.

“Colour is critical for serious creative professionals, so we developed the VP2468 with superior colour technologies,” said Kenneth Mau, senior product marketing manager at ViewSonic Americas, in a statement. “Whether you’re an artist or photographer or content developer, colours on a monitor — especially true-to-life colours — are vital. The VP2468 features an edge-to-edge SuperClear IPS panel and offers super-wide viewing angles to ensure content on the screen can be seen from just about any viewpoint. And, with one of the world’s thinnest bezels, users can easily hook up multiple monitors for a more immersive viewing experience.”

Also included on the monitor is DisplayPort technology, a mini DisplayPort, dual HDMI inputs and four USB 3.0 ports. The intention to make peripheral connectivity as flexible as possible, providing creative professionals with choice in how they use the VP2468.

The ViewSonic VP2468 is shipping now with an MSRP of US$326.
