The clock is ticking down to January 30th, when Research in Motion will officially launch what is promised to be a revolutionary iteration of its smartphone OS, BlackBerry 10. For the embattled Waterloo, Ont.-based company, it may well be a make or break moment.

At a recent media event in Toronto, ITBusiness.ca got a sneak peek at some of the new BlackBerry 10 features that RIM is hoping will give it a needed advantage in the competition with Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platforms, now to mention the recently launched Windows 8 from Microsoft.
Among the new features is Blackberry Hub, which is always accessible even when in an app with a simple swipe and shows you all your notifications in one place. Another is BlackBerry Flow, which lets you access related information without going from app to app. A new camera feature also allows time shifting, so you can grab that perfect snapshot even when your subject blinks.
