SAS revamps partner program with analytics competencies

Analytics software vendor SAS Institute has announced it is launching a new partner program with additional training, credentials, and a broadened distribution channel.

The refreshed program will affect SAS’ 1,300 existing partners, which the company claims to work in sectors including banking, retail, healthcare and energy.

New competencies offered by the company will aim to help partners specialize in areas such as analytics, data management and visualization.

“We have been steadily expanding how we deliver analytics into businesses – whether through direct channels, resellers, OEM providers, systems integrators or service providers,” Russ Cobb, vice president of alliances and channels at SAS said in a statement.  “Our new program will guarantee that our partners have the support and services they need so that our customers get the same level of care, and counsel, from them as they would from us.”

SAS first began looking at channel programs in 2013.
