Panasonic launches new scanner line for SMBs

Panasonic’s new scanner line is intended to save space and operating costs for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with a new built-in network feature.

The built-in network allows for business owners to share scanned items directly with customers and contacts via an FTP service, SMB folder, or email – eliminating the need to goes through a PC. Kaji Masilamany, senior sales and marketing manager at Panasonic Canada, said in a release that organizations in every industry are going through digital transformation from traditional record keeping. These scanners are designed to take advantage of that shift.

“Our new line of network scanners enable SMBs to digitize their documents as quickly and efficiently as possible, leading to increased operational cost savings. With this technology, business owners can feel confident knowing their document management systems are internet-connected and at the ready,” Masilamany said.

The scanner line, which is available now through Panasonic Canada resellers, comes in three models, and includes features like 100 sheet automatic document feeder capacity, high-speed scanning with single-touch operation, passport scanning, and mixed document and embossed card feeding capabilities. The scanners also come with a three-year advanced exchange warranty, can be used from mobile devices, and include a free trial.

Earlier this year, Panasonic launched an updated Toughbook 20, and last year the company released its global connectivity offering that ditches the roaming charges.
