Insight Enterprises launches DaaS solution for managing employee devices

At a time when managing the multitude of devices available to employees seems like an enormous, daunting challenge, US-based Insight Enterprises is hoping its new solution will make that process a little easier.

The company has launched Insight Managed Office, a full device-as-a-service solution that helps companies bundle and manage every employee device, cloud application, and service under a single monthly subscription. Insight, a business-to-business hardware, software, cloud, and IT services provider, believes this will give organizations more time to accelerate and scale their own business, and adopt a technology strategy that meets the demands of a changing workforce.

“Business leaders need to focus on growth and transformation,” Steve Dodenhoff, president at Insight US, says in an Oct. 13 press release. “The Insight Managed Office solution is designed to be a fully managed offering that helps businesses shift time away from managing day-to-day IT tasks and toward exploring new opportunities for growth.”

The solution lets clients have access to all the latest Intel-powered devices and gives them the ability to select new devices upon renewal to ensure they stay current and up to date. Insight also preconfigures each Intel-based device with Microsoft 265 Enterprise “to improve team collaboration, productivity, and security,” and provides services like onboarding, installation, data migration, and 24/7 monitoring.

The company also offers warranties on purchased devices that covers things like dial-in troubleshooting support, replacement hardware with overnight delivery, and accidental damage coverage.

“As growing businesses continue to transform at increasing rates, they need the tools in place to be productive, secure and adaptive,” Rob Howard, director of Microsoft Office 365 Ecosystem at Microsoft Corp, adds in the release. “Through its integrations with Microsoft, the Insight Managed Office solution benefits our mutual customers with enhanced collaboration, productivity and security.”

The Managed Office solution is also available with Workplace Services for enterprises with more than 5,000 employees to more efficiently modernize their IT and deliver the right products and services needed for large organizations.

Chris Hubbard, director of PC Sales Enabling at Intel, says that Insight’s Managed Office is “a great example of using Intel technology to provide a solid foundation for new solutions to transform businesses.”

“Insight’s broad selection of devices based on the 7th Generation Intel® Core processor provides best-in-class performance and responsiveness for end-user productivity, while also enabling the latest security and manageability features that allow those concerns to be handled by Insight in the background, freeing customers to focus their time and energy on growing their business,” he concluded.
