D3 Security achieves certified integration with McAfee Enterprise Security Manager

Vancouver’s D3 Security announced this week that its security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) technology has received the green light from McAfee and is now successfully integrated with the McAfee Enterprise Security Manager (ESM).

McAfee ESM is a security information and event management solution that delivers intelligence and integrations to prioritize, investigate, and respond to threats, and includes dozens of partner integrations. The move also sees D3 added to the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance – McAfee’s integrated security solutions program that includes more than 100 partners – which will address a rising need, said D.J. Long, head of McAfee Security Innovation Alliance, to shorten response times through orchestration and automation.

“We expect our joint solution to improve customers’ efficiency, efficacy, and speed of incident response, while also reducing operational costs and strengthening compliance,” he said.

The D3 SOAR platform includes hundreds of out-of-the-box and customizable playbooks, a visual playbook editor, and an app library with 200+ technology integrations that don’t require any coding skills to use.

“You can also guide responders, whether they’re in the SOC, the forensics lab, or even the HR or PR department, through their obligations with precision,” explained D3 Security president and founder, Gordon Benoit. “By joining forces with McAfee, we look forward to extending this unique combination of innovation throughout the enterprise.”

The latest announcement comes two months after D3 Security announced the launch of its Connected Global Sales Channel and Partner Program, in addition to the appointment of Peter Marini – a former partner technology strategist from Microsoft – as the company’s new director of global sales channels.
