Gentek is a Toronto-based value-added distributor in broadband, networking and VoIP products.

The agreement between the two companies is to further a shared mission of delivering Yealink VoIP terminal equipment to Canadian businesses and SMBs through the solution provider channel.

Jeff Freedman, vice president of Gentek, told CDN that the company plans to widen Yealink’s market penetration in Canada.

YealinkIPPhoneYealink positions itself in the market as a professional VoIP terminal equipment manufacturer. The company has been in the Canadian market for about two years. Yealink focuses on producing IP products to extend the value of network communications and its products are equipped with TI chipsets to ensure high definition voice quality along with auto-provisioning, PoE support and IPv6 functionality.
For the channel, Gentek says the Yealink IP phones are easy to deploy, interoperable with a wide range of soft-switches and PBX’s and offer an “excellent” return on investment.

Freedman added that Gentek is continuously searching for innovative products that match the needs of resellers who are servicing the growing SMB/SME market. Yealink IP phones are an excellent fit for customers who require feature-rich phones that provide outstanding value. Gentek has formed very strong relationships with manufacturing partners and the company expect the partnership with Yealink to be extremely successful.

Yealink was founded in 2001 and is a global vendor of SIP phones and VoIP phones along with IP communication solutions. The company conducts business in more than 140 countries today.
