To say that 2015 was a busy year for Tech Data Canada would be a severe understatement.

The previous year saw Tech Data Canada forge new partnerships with Toronto-based Jatheon Technologies to distribute its information archiving solutions, InnoviMobile to bring app development to its partners, CyberPower Systems Inc. to distribute power management solutions; they added SimpliVity’s hyper-converged technology to its portfolio of offerings, and Cisco’s Meraki cloud services.

Under the leadership of Rick Reid, Tech Data Canada also made its first foray into offering Security-as-a-Service to its resellers with the launch of Intel Security Managed Services Specialization program.

They followed it up with the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program participation, in partnering with managed service provider Quatrro to offer Office 365 tech support.

Maybe the company’s biggest move was bringing its Cloud Solutions Store to Canada with the global launch of TDCloud. The Cloud Solutions Store provides a hub in the style of an app store.

Another big announcement was the launch of TD Mobility Managed Services, powered by MOBI, through its Canadian TD Mobility and Retail Solutions Sales Division.

The solution is a cloud-based portal that integrates mobile management with wireless carriers and IT systems.

But it wasn’t all work at Tech Data Canada. The team also found the time to build bicycles in 2015 that were then presented to the Toronto Children’s Breakfast Club and the Boys and Girls Club of Peel.
