CDN’s 2016 Rising Star award winner is a triple threat

Another year of CDN’s Women in the IT Channel Recognition Luncheon is in the books, but the life lessons and connections gained will no doubt carry on with the attendees into their personal and professional lives.

This is especially true for one young professional whose accomplishments were recognized at the event in front of her peers and channel community.

Chosen for her tenacity, work ethic and passion, Tania Galovic, Marketing Manager at Infinite IT Solutions, was named the 2016 Rising Star – backed by a unanimous decision from the Canadian Channel Chiefs Council and her boss and nominator, Joe Ussia.

“Tania has been a huge asset to our overall brand and go to market strategy. She is a forward thinking professional, always pushing our messaging to the next level,” says Ussia.

“Within her first year with the company, Galovic became one of the managers taking charge of the brand as well as optimizing the customer experience. Since then, she has helped Infinite IT’s brand improve significantly and is creating great acceptance and awareness among prospects and customers alike.”

Galovic is a devoted mother to two girls as well as a true professional just on the brink of her career. Her goal is to be a role model to her girls and teach them that women can accomplish anything they put their mind to, winning this award as proof of that victory.

“The Rising Star recognition is important because it’s a wonderful thing to see women supporting other women in this industry,” said Galovic.

The Rising Star was revealed at the luncheon, following an inspirational message from guest speaker, hockey legend and pioneer of girls in sports, Angela James. James urged women to follow their dreams, no matter the trials and tribulations which resonated with the driven, ambitious and optimistic female leaders that filled the room.

Recognizing young female trailblazers who are given the chance to realize that their talents and contributions made to the industry don’t go unnoticed reinforces why CDN holds this program year after year.

Created by CDN and sponsored by Ingram Micro Canada, the Rising Star award is designed to recognize up-and-coming women in the channel with less than 5 years industry experience.
