Avnet offers express implementation for Hitachi Unified Storage platform

Value-added distributor Avnet Technology Solutions says that it is the first distributor to offer remote implementation services for Hitachi Data Systems partners.

According to Avnet, its new Express Implementation Services will give its Hitachi partners the ability to quickly install, provision, tune and back up customer storage environments built on Hitachi Unified Storage. It will be available through Avnet Services as a way for partners to grow profit opportunities around professional services.

The express implementation services are tailored to Hitachi Unified Storage, including the Hitachi Unified Storage 110 and 130, and include a focus on device management, dynamic provisioning, tuning management, file structure and management, and in-system and remote replication.

“Businesses of all sizes are struggling to manage and store the enormous amount of data they generate every day while still ensuring that business-critical applications operate efficiently,” said Randy Wright, vice president and general manager, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, for Hitachi Data Systems. “Avnet’s Express Implementation Services are designed specifically for the channel to help our partners address this customer pain point, while providing them with new revenue opportunities. The new services allow our partners to make themselves more valuable to their customers by rapidly optimizing customers’ Hitachi Unified Storage environments to efficiently manage data.”
