CDN Women of the IT Channel Honourees: Roanna Wilson

CDN and Ingram Micro Canada partnered for the third annual CDN Women of the IT Channel Recognition Luncheon; this year at the spectacular Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto.

More than 100 influential women executives from across the country attended the event that featured a keynote address from the President of George Brown College Anne Sado. The CDN Women of the IT Channel Recognition Luncheon also featured an informative panel discussion on empowerment. The panel members at the event were Jennifer Anaya, vice president of marketing for Ingram Micro North America, Carmela Orlando, senior vice president and GM of Insight Canada and Nympha Lee, the vice president of marketing and communications for FlexITy Solutions Inc.

Also Cisco Systems Canada executives Rebecca Leach and Trina Alexson held a special morning workshop.

The event also took time out to honour four senior level women executives in the Canadian channel:

CDN is proud to honour Roanna J. Wilson, the general manager of BlackBox Network Services of Toronto.

Wilson cited Anne Frank during the event: “Everyone has inside of her a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!” – Anne Frank

Wilson is responsible for the leadership and operational management of Black Box’s technology product solutions team in Canada. Wilson’s specialties are business development, establishing organizational goals, P&L management, customer service and key account management. Under Wilson’s leadership Black Box Canada has achieved ‘Office of the Year’ in 2009, 2011 & 2012.

Wilson joined Black Box in 2005. She has 17 years in the IT industry where she has held progressively senior positions in operations and distribution management. Wilson holds a bachelors degree from York University.
