CDN Women 2015: Future of work must move past 20th Century ways

Futurist Ayelet Baron says women should “wake up” if they want to take part in the new way of work brought on by technology and the multi-generational workforce.

Baron was the keynote speaker at the 5th annual CDN Women of the IT Channel Recognition Luncheon held at the Toronto Botanical Gardens.

In this video interview, Baron tells CDN that 50 per cent of the workforce in the near future will be self-employed, which will bring about a huge market opportunity. Meanwhile, women contribute $15 Trillion in worldwide consumer spending.

This means women should begin to focus on education and collaboration if they want to participate in this way of work.
