Value-added distributor Westcon Group is targeting the data centre and cloud computing through an expanded relationship with IT infrastructure vendor CA Technologies, now bringing the vendor’s full IT management portfolio of offerings to Westcon partners in Canada.
According to Weston, CA’s solutions for IT infrastructure management and converged management allows partners to offer their clients access to planning, configuration/provisioning, monitoring and troubleshooting within an integrated network, compute, storage, and application environment.
“With the rapid proliferation of converged infrastructures, IT management under one umbrella makes perfect sense,” said David Bradley, senior vice-president of global partners for CA Technologies, in a statment. “For more than a decade, we’ve partnered with industry experts at Westcon Group to accelerate adoption of our technology in key regions throughout the world. Based on this success, it’s a clear win to expand this relationship to North America.”
The relationship will expand via a multi-phased roll-out, with Westcon immediately offering CA Nimsoft Monitor, both on-demand via SaaS or on-premise.

The new relationship will allow Westcon’s Canadian partners to expand their services offerings added, Andy Banks, vice-president of North America for Westcon Group, via e-mail.
“With CA/Nimsoft traditional VOIP and network resellers in Canada will be able to enhance their service portfolio in the data center which includes the management and monitoring of public, private cloud, storage, server, applications, virtual environments, data bases, power and cooling,” said Banks.
