Welcome to a brand new CDN online

Welcome to a new and improved channeldailynews.com now with its very own  Web address!

We’ve been hard at it behind the scenes, these last few months, quietly working to create a more fluid, interactive and intuitive experience not only for visitors to CDN’s site, but for our sister site, www.itbusiness.ca which is also being re-launched today.  A big day for both of us!

I know you’ll want to explore our new features and functions for yourself, but here’s a quick primer. First, we can now post breaking news almost as it happens, along with photographs, videos, and links to more information. This means you get news and updates faster than ever before – from a source you know you can trust.

Second, when you’re looking for news or information, we’ve made it easier for you to find it. You can’t miss our row of Tabs for News, Videos, Slide Shows, and much more running across the top of the page – which includes a very handy Topic Hub. The  Hub groups everything from articles, news, slide shows and video content on a given subject, in one easy to reference resource page – a great time-saver.

Third, if you want to browse articles, scroll down the list on the right of the page until you find what interests you and when you do, feel free to share it because we’ve made that easier too. Check out all the social media buttons throughout the site, placed right where you want them. You could even make a name for yourself and build your own profile by consistently sharing valuable content and providing your own commentary.

Another key enhancement is that we’re now better able to leverage a variety of multi-media platforms – so we can tell our stories better than before. We know digital story telling better than many, and we’ll use whatever medium that works best to bring a story to life and do it justice.

But, it’s not all about what we have to say – we want to hear from you.  We want to continue to help build Canada’s channel community, which contributes so much to the IT industry and to the economy as a whole. So we encourage you to get involved in opportunities to share your thoughts and insights on issues that can benefit your channel peers. Readers can comment on any story or blog published by CDN. CDN’s LinkedIn site has hundreds of channel professionals providing valuable perspective on IT news.

Finally, channeldailynews.com can now be experienced fully on even the smallest mobile device. And, as the mobile arena continues to evolve, channeldailynews.com is already geared up and future friendly.

We believe both channeldailynews.com and www.itbusiness.ca now provide the kind of experience you’ve come to expect from ITWC — the leading online information resource for Canadian IT professionals. When you combine the new features and functionality available today with our unwavering focus on Canadian news and information, we believe there’s no better place to get the information you need to do business and succeed.

We look forward to your feedback and to your future participation in the many opportunities for involvement that we plan to provide, as we continue to evolve this site and serve our Canadian channel community.
