StorageCraft plans to guarantee the recovery of virtual or physical machines, either on-premises or in the cloud. And, the are going to put a large amount of cash behind that guarantee.

Starting Sept. 1, 2017, the StorageCraft $100,000 Recovery Guarantee is an automatic benefit for all qualified StorageCraft channel partners.

To be eligible, channel partners must be Platinum-level and have at least one staff member be a StorageCraft Certified Engineer and one StorageCraft Certified Master Engineer. Qualified partners’ machines that are protected at the Cloud Premium Service Level are included in this guarantee. If a qualified partner’s machines cannot be virtualized during a true failover event, StorageCraft has gone on record and will compensate the solution provider up to $100,000.

StorageCraft’s senior director of product management, Hugo Parra, said for far too long, disaster recovery has been handled as a best-effort initiative, explaining that why the company makes this unprecedented guarantee.

According to Parra, StorageCraft wanted to raise the bar to make it clear that the company stands behind its products and services.

“We’re so sure that our partners who follow best practices can recover a system using our solution,” Parra continued, “that we decided to offer this guarantee. Partners can be confident in our solutions and confident that we will take an all-hands-on-deck approach when the situation requires. We’re deeply invested in the success of our partners, and we have their backs. Our joint customers should know that their data is safe with StorageCraft and its partner network.”

StorageCraft offers guidelines that, when followed, will guarantee partners a timely disaster recovery, either on-premises or in the StorageCraft Cloud. After following the guidelines, if a qualified partner experiences a true disaster and cannot successfully virtualize an affected machine, that partner is eligible for compensation if 1) the partner reports the issue to StorageCraft Support within 24 hours of the disaster and 2) Support is unable to quickly resolve the issue—typically within 24 hours. StorageCraft will pay the partner $10,000 in cash or credit per machine, for up to ten machines, for a total of up to $100,000 in cash or credit.

Eligibility for the StorageCraft $100,000 Recovery Guarantee is governed by the StorageCraft Recovery Guarantee Terms and Conditions, which can be found at: www.storagecraft.com/100k-guarantee-terms-conditions.

StorageCraft alsodemonstrated the vendor’s Instant Recovery solution at VMWorld Conference. The new solution is going to be integrated into multiple StorageCraft products such as ShadowProtect SPX, OneBlox 5210 and Cloud Services.

What’s different in the new Instant Recovery solution is that it provides instantaneous recovery capabilities. The company is also stating that the economics for customers and channel partners around the new Instant Recovery is a “radical” departure for what is available today on the market.

This first integration of StorageCraft products resulting from the company’s acquisition of Exablox.

It features:

  • accelerate data recovery across virtual, physical and cloud infrastructures;
  • restore hypervisor environments at scale;
  • restore an entire infrastructure using StorageCraft Cloud Services in case of a site-wide disaster;
  • recover a VM of any size in less than a minute instead of hours; and
  • radically improve the economics of instantaneous recovery—by at least a factor of two as compared to other available solutions.

Shridhar Subramanian, vice president of marketing and product management at StorageCraft, said the increasingly distributed nature of data and massive growth in volume are creating huge recovery challenges for organizations. By re-architecting the traditional approach to data backup and recovery, StorageCraft is blurring the lines between primary and secondary storage. StorageCraft will have successfully removed multiple levels of cost and complexity while delivering massive scale—all for one single purpose: to help organizations back up and restore their data for uninterrupted business continuity, no matter what happens.
