Smart Technologies adds services to its Lync room systems

Calgary-based Smart Technologies has added a services offering to its Smart Room Systems for Microsoft Lync solutions, including network readiness check, usage reporting and proactive monitoring.

Smart Technologies is a developer of display and room-based collaboration systems. The new service offerings around its Smart Room Systems for Microsoft Lync include:

  • A network readiness check that ensures the customer’s Lync environment is optimized for the deployment of the Smart solution, including a remote diagnosis of the IT environment, analysis of potential failure points and a remediation plan for possible concerns
  • Usage reporting for visibility into when and how the solution is used, giving data to quantify return on investment and guide further deployment decisions
  • Proactive monitoring of system health and operability for early incident detection, minimizing downtime

“Interest in Smart Rooms Systems for Lync continues to increase, and customers are asking for more advanced support and managed services from Smart and its partners,” said Sara Murray, director of Enterprise Services at Smart Technologies. “We are pleased to meet this demand with a flexible offering that enables our partners to deliver a comprehensive room system offering for Lync, and also provide customers peace of mind that their systems are being adopted, fully supported and proactively managed.”

The network readiness check is priced at US$3,799 per assessment and per site, usage reporting is priced at US$1,079 per year and proactive monitoring with usage reporting including is US$1,199 per year. All the services are available now.
