Samsung Electronics has expanded its Ativ PC lineup with two new models, including a solid black laptop and an all-in-one multimedia and entertainment-focused PC.
The Ativ Book 9 2014 edition is a 15.6” full HD display laptop running Windows 8.1. According to the vendor it sports a sophisticated, aerodynamic design with an ultra-slim, sturdy and light-weight single-shell metal body. It has a UL Certified ergonomically designed keyboard, and is designed for optimum audio quality with SPlayer+, an exclusive lossless audio player that works in conjunction with high performance Wolfson DAC chip.
Users can choose from Intel Core i4 and i7 processor options, with Intel HD Graphics 4400, 8GB RAM abd uo to 1024GB of Dual SSD storage. Ports include two USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, HDMI, mini VGA and SD. The Book Nine weighs 1.85 kg, and is available in solid black. Pricing was not available.
Also new from Samsung is the Ativ One7 2014 Edition, and all-in-one PC designed for immersive multimedia. Featuring seamless integration with Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones, the vendor said the One7 is designed to operate as a cloud service, leveraging its 1TB of internal storage to allow users to access photos, movies, music and documents on their mobile device through Samsung Link. Music can also be streamed form a smartphone through the One7’s two 7-watt speakers through Bluetooth Music Play.
The all-in-one features a 24” full GD display with 178 degree viewing angles, and can become an HDTV or monitor with HDMI in and out ports. The display boasts 10-point touch with 1920×1080 resolution, and the device is powered by a 4th generation Intel Core i3 or i5 processor with 8GB of RAM. It comes with a 1TB HDD, and users can choose to add an additional 128GB SSD. It weighs in at 7.3KG and is available in white. Pricing was not available.
