Quebec IT consulting firm partners with U.S. software maker

Groupe CMI, a Quebec-based IT and management consulting service company, has formed an alliance with Infor, a business software developer headquartered in New York with a presence in more than 200 countries and territories.

CMI hopes to grow its public sector presence in North America by becoming a part of the Infor Partnership Network (IPN).

“We chose to form an alliance partnership with Infor because they continue to deliver industry-leading innovations and develop their product roadmaps to better meet customer needs, said Melanie Labbe, a partner at CMI, in a statement. “Working Infor Lawson Suite, Infor SunSystems and Infor Supply Chain Management will give us an opportunity to serve organizations in the public sector as well as healthcare facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada.”

Group CMI, which was founded in 2003, is an established player in Quebec’s management and IT consulting market.

Infor builds industry-specific applications and suites and helps companies run their businesses on-site or in the cloud. Among its leading solutions is Infor Lawson, an enterprise application with analytics and mobile features. Its used by more than 2000 customers across various industries including healthcare and the public sector. The company’s Infor Supply Chain Management is built to provide users with greater visibility into supply chain analytics.

Other companies that joined Infor’s partnership network include John Bean Technologies and Westin Engineering. Each company will work with different Infor applications and offer these products to customers in the  government, utilities, transportation, public safety and education verticals, according to Infor.

The IPN has enabled Infor partners to maximize revenue, improve cross-agency collaboration and build a sustainable business built around Infor technology suites, according to Lynn Sauder, vice-president of global alliance and channels at Infor.

“Infor is always looking for partners that are specialized and possess in-depth industry knowledge, as this enables them to more effectively deliver our technologies suites, which are built for specific micro-verticals,” said Sauder.
