OKI Data targets mid-market with new series of printers

OKI Data Americas announced the development of a new series of A4 colour multifunction printers (MFPs) aimed at the mid-workgroup segment of the market.

Called the MC770 and MC780 series, the new line comes with four configurations. According to company executives, the different feature sets offer a number of options to deliver greater revenue opportunities and competitive advantages for the channel. All models feature an embedded open application programming interface (API) platform for which an expanding suite of solutions will be available through OKI Data Americas.

The company also made clear that these new products combine high-speed output, high print quality, enhanced feature sets, improved user interface, and streamlined document workflow processing into a single device. The company also has priced these MFPs to be competitive with other vendors and to provide both a low cost per copy and low total cost of ownership. Available configurations include finishing capabilities, plus expanded paper handling trays and feeders.

Hiroyuki Fukushima, Director of Non-Impact Printer Product Marketing for OKI Data Americas, the versatility and advanced functionality of the MC770 and MC780 MFPs featuring an embedded open API will be well-received within the market – particularly within key verticals such as retail, healthcare, education, government, manufacturing/transportation/logistics, and financial/insurance.

The embedded open API platform allows solution providers to integrate these devices within their environments through customized MFP solutions to meet their specific business needs. By expanding the integration capabilities of these MFPs with a host of cloud-based business applications such as Google Docs, Microsoft SharePoint, and Exchange.

OKI Data is also providing around the clock, live, toll-free technical support with agents based in North America.
