New leader named at HP Inc. Canada and she comes from the channel

Mary Ann Yule has been hired as the new Managing Director of HP Inc. Canada replacing the retiring Lloyd Bryant.

Yule was the Vice President and General Manager of CDW Canada, CDN’s No. 1 Solution Provider for last year. She plans on joining HP Inc. on February 15. Yule will be responsible for all aspects of HP operations in Canada fostering HP alliances and partnerships in the channel community with the goal of bringing innovative technology solutions to Canadian businesses of all sizes.

Rick Reid, president of Tech Data Canada, told CDN Yule is one of the most dynamic sales ‎leaders he has ever met. “HP will benefit from the same leadership that has led to significant growth at CDW Canada,” Reid said.

Greg Tobin, the country manager for D&H Canada, says he admires Yule and believes under her leadership HP Inc. Canada customers will be in great shape.

“Mary Ann is a competent executive and she comes to this job with a different perspective by not being part of HP. She had distribution experience. She has vendor experiences and she has managed a very large DMR. She understands all those parts of the channel and I think her leadership style will bring new things to the role at HP,” Tobin said.

Christoph Schell, President, Americas, HP Inc. called Yule an incredibly passionate executive that brings lots of energy to business.

Yule joined CDW Canada in 2008. At the time the company was ranked number 13th on the CDN Top 100 Solution Providers list. Since then, the company consistently moved up in the ranking, hitting the number two slot in 2012.

The following year Yule and the team at CDW Canada reached their goal of becoming the No. 1 Solution Provider in Canada and have remained there ever since.

Prior to joining CDW Canada, Yule served in various senior management and key marketing positions at Toshiba of Canada and Tech Data Canada.

Bryant retired as of December 24, of last year after a stellar 30 year career.

Bryant was named CDN’s No. 1 Newsmaker for 2014 as a result of the blockbuster decision to separate into two organizations.

During those 30 years, Bryant worked in a variety of key leadership positions including leading the subsidiary’s Printing and Personal Systems business. Bryant was named Managing Director of HP Canada in 2013 even though the company was running as two separate units; the other being the Enterprise Group.
