Insite does small time business continuity

Before it came along, this firm had no security or backup policies in place, there was no dedicated IT person and its Internet connection was slow.

After working with Insite, this Toronto-based firm now has a centralized data storage system, along with a SOHO firewall and the presence of remote managed services in place. The results seen since enlisting the help of this solution provider and its solutions led to a faster Internet connection, more security and backup policies and more business productivity and overall efficiency.

Doron Kaminski, the vice-president of business development and one of the partners at Insite, said winning the CDN Channel Elite Award was a great surprise.

“One of company partners, Richard Bongard, came out and we had people from sales and the service manager was there and it was great. The recognition from the industry is fantastic. We get calls from people offering their congratulations and they ask how we did it and how we accomplished the solution,” Kaminski said.

Last year Insite won Silver in the same category and the Insite team was determined to improve on the solution and get it recognized in the industry. “This was in our marketing plans and in our brochure and e-mails. Internally we tell employees about the recognition. It is what we are striving for. And we tell customers,” he said.

The customer was just utilizing Insite on a call basis and Kaminski said the company decided to sit down with them to show them the return on investment of this solution and how efficient it would make them. “They are number crunchers and when we showed then the ROI it was a quick no brainer,” he said.

For Insite, their focus is on the SMB and they look to small business owners or controllers that take charge of the IT and whether they know what they are doing or not they are in charge, he said.

The solution, which is a remote vaulting, back up solution with hosted VoIP, is a business continuity solution that Insite would be unable to provide by themselves without the help of the VTN network.

Insite is trying to white box this solution for channel partners. Kaminski said this will increase monthy recurring revenue and it is better than developing something from scratch.
