HP’s new PCs and printers are designed for SMBs

HP has launched its new Pro Series of desktops, notebooks and an all-in-one PCs, as well as new printers, designed to appeal to small and medium-sized businesses. According to HP, the Pro Series gives SMBs affordable, enterprise-level technology with the sort of consumer-inspired designs demanded by millennials.

“HP offers customers support and access to commercial-grade solutions like the new HP Pro Series of PCs and printers, providing them with the business-ready capabilities they need at a price point they can afford,” said Christoph Schell, senior vice-president of HP printing and personal systems, Americas.

HP ProBook 400 G3 series notebooks

HP’s ProBook 400 G3 notebooks are designed for mobile work with a durable design that is still 17 per cent thinner and 12 per cent lighter than the last generation, with 13″, 14″ and 15″ models available. Security features such as HP BIOSphere, TPM and an optional fingerprint reader are integrated, and 6th Generation Intel Core or the latest AMD 6th Generation A-series APU are available.

With an all-in-one PC form factor, the HP ProOne 400 G2 AiO series is powered by 6th Generation Intel Core processors.  It has been redesigned for SMBs with built-in cable management, and deployment options like an articulating reclining stand. The 20” display is designed to optimize Windows 10 features like Cortana, and edge-to-edge 10-point capacitive touch is optional.

HP ProDesk 400 series desktops

HP’s ProDesk 400 series is a more traditional PC design, available in a number of options including ultra-small form factor, small form factor or micro tower. The HP ProDesk 400 G2 Desktop Mini can fit under a desk or behind a monitor, and features a standard serial port, VGA and DisplayPort. All models come with DDR4 RAM and 6th Generation Intel Core processors.

New LaserJet single function printers

HP has debuted two new single function printers designed to appeal to SMBs, particularly small work teams with three to 10 users printing up to 4,000 pages a month/ The HP LaserJet Pro M402 series is a monochrome printer that can fit in compact work spaces, and the HP Color LaserJet Pro M452 series delivers color printing with up to 48 per cent faster first-page output than before.

HP’s two new multifunction printers are also targeting the same SMB workgroup space. The HP LaserJet Pro MFP M426 is the monochrome model with dual-sided scanning and support for document workflows such as scan to email, folder, USB, and cloud capabilities. The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477 series has the same features but also boasts colour printing, and slightly faster speeds.
