Eaton to slash prices and boosts promotions

Quebec City – As Eaton celebrates 100 years in business its Canadian operation is getting aggressive in the channel by reducing prices on selected UPS and Power Management products.

The company also offered TechSelect members at the its Canadian conference, held here, up to 15 per cent savings if they purchase any of the products listed at Tech Data Canada. This promotion will end on June 30 of this year.

Jodi Bonham, IT channel manager for Eaton Canada, told CDN that TechSelect community is very special and has done well in helping her grow the business throughout Canada.

Eaton Canada will be offering resellers a new reward program where they will get points on each product they sell. These points will be transferred to gift cards from the Keg Restaurants, Best Buy, Petro Canada and Holt Renfrew. Other gift card options are being reviewed Bonham said.

She added that the channel in Canada has grown revenues inside TechSelect by a whopping 300 per cent.

The power management and cooling vendor also stepped up its channel program by introducing a Demo Program.

Eaton’s Demo Program consists of Eaton UPS single phase products offered to the channel partners at a special one time discount through distribution, for display and demonstration purposes.

Products such as the Eaton Powerware Level 3, 5, and 9 along with Eaton Pulsar series UPSs from 0 to 6KVS will be made available at 50 per cent off Canadian list price.

The approval process will look like this: channel partners will be required to complete the Eaton Demo Program Prior Approval form. Resellers will be limited to one UPS unit for purpose of demonstration and showcasing.

After one year resellers will be allowed to resell the demo equipment and this promotion cannot be combined with other Eaton promotions.
