CTECH Consulting Group and BackupPlan merge

Calgary, Alberta-based companies CTECH Consulting Group and BackupPlan have merged and financial terms were not disclosed.

Sources have confirmed to CDN that an official announcement is coming in the next few days.

CTECH offers tech support, network security, cloud, mobility and maintenance services and has operated out of the city for more than ten years. ChannelE2E reports that the company operates in energy, environmental services, and education.

Meanwhile, as the name suggests, BackupPlan offers recovery and system monitoring services to North American customers.

Under the terms of the deal, BackupPlan founder and CTO James Szarka will be joining CTECH. According to ChannelE2E, BackupPlan bas between one and ten employees, and will become a backup-oriented “dedicated department” at CTECH.
