The Bruce Klein era at Cisco’s Worldwide Partner Organization has officially ended.

After three years at the helm, Klein has decided to leave the networking giant to pursue leadership opportunity at another company. Klein was at Cisco for 11 years.

Replacing Klein is a familiar face to the channel in Wendy Bahr who was running the partner organization for the Americas for Cisco, which included Canada. She will now have the official title of senior vice president of worldwide partner organization. Her start date is July 27.

In her new role, Bahr will be responsible for more than 60,000 channel partners around the world for Cisco. As the Americas partner chief, Bahr oversaw an ecosystem of more than 23,000 partners with combined annual revenues of about $18 billion.

Chris Dedicoat, worldwide sales leader for Cisco, said Bahr has one of the best 360 degree views of the partner organization and an incredible aptitude for partner ecosystem, field operations and enablement, and global expertise with a passion for uncovering new talent and helping grow the leaders of tomorrow.

Edison Peres’ role as Cisco Channel Chief is unchanged, according to sources.

Previously at Cisco, Bahr led the global and strategic partner organization where she was responsible for more than $9.5 billion in revenue through Cisco’s largest systems integrators and service provider partners.

The Old Dominion graduate was also responsible for Cisco’s global executive briefing centres and proposals team supervising more than 30 executive and customer briefing locations around the world. Bahr also ran Cisco’s global sales associates program, which trains new college hires as sales and engineering professionals.

Bahr has great experience with the Canadian channel as she also led the U.S. and Canada channels group.

Prior to joining Cisco, she was with Verizon for more than 10 years. In her latest role there she was the director of enterprise sales.

Bahr is a member of Cisco Empowered Women’s Network and a former member of the Gender Diversity Operations Committee. She is a coach and mentor for Cisco’s Women Unlimited program, while also personally mentoring dozens Cisco employees.
