Microsoft today announced pricing, market availability and pre-order for its Surface tablet product.
The Surface with Windows RT will be available starting at $519.00.
Surface accessories such as the Touch Cover product will be available in three colours – black, white, and cyan – priced at $129.99. Customers will also have the option to purchase a Type Cover in black for $139.99, which adds moving keys for a more traditional typing feel.
Pre-orders can made online at www.Surface.com. Besides Canada, Surface pre-orders will be available in Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the U.S. Microsoft Canada said the pricing will vary by geography.
Surface with Windows RT will initially be available in three SKUs: a 32GB version priced at $519, a 32GB version bundled with a black Touch Cover priced at $619.00, and a 64GB version bundled with a black Touch Cover priced at $719.
Surface will be available for purchase beginning Oct. 26, at all Microsoft Store locations in the United States and in Canada when the first store opens in Toronto’s Yorkdale mall.
