LAS VEGAS – CA Technologies plans to unveil CA Agile Central on day one of its CA World conference. CA Agile Central is the New York-based vendor’s software-as-a-service platform.
The new release is going to be purpose-built to scale agile practices, according to CA.
One of the new features in the SaaS offering is access the information most relevant to their day to day work, while maintaining the core ability to view and align with the organization’s broader strategy.
Angela Tucci, GM of CA’s Agile Management business, said the key to success in a scaled agile environment is empowered employees. Too often, companies are forced to choose between an enterprise-ready Agile platform or lightweight tools that focus on team-level functionality. Now companies don’t have to give up power for ease-of-use. With CA Agile Central, they can have both.
CA Agile Central provides a hub for teams to collaboratively plan, prioritize and track work in a synchronized cadence. Personal Navigation shortens the path between the user and work to be completed by making the most frequently accessed pages easy to find and use—moving rarely used pages to the background. Creating even more efficiency in how users access and use the most important information that supports their work, the new Quick Detail feature lets users update all relevant details of work items in context without leaving the page they are working on. They can customize which fields matter most to them and their team for easy access.
Additional new features in CA Agile Central include:
- Advanced Filtering and Saved Views: Easily find exactly what’s needed with quick filters and powerful advanced filters. Users can also save and share filters for easy access later.
- Webhooks: Build lightweight integrations to be triggered when data changes in CA Agile Central. Users get data in real time as it changes, like an automated instant update, to keep projects across teams on track.
- Subscription App Catalog: Redefining customization in CA Agile Central, users can add custom apps to gain business insight reporting and workflow automation.
