Apple and Accenture partner up for mobile iOS business solutions

Accenture has teamed up with Apple to create a dedicated iOS business practice centered around mobility and digital transformation.

This dedicated practice will reside within Accenture Digital Solutions locations around the world. The goal of these new teams is to create a set of tools and services that will help enterprise clients digitally transform with iOS devices.

“Based on our experience in developing mobile apps, we believe that iOS is the superior mobile platform for business and are excited to be partnering with Apple. By combing Accenture’s vast digital capabilities and industry expertise with Apple’s market leadership in creating products that delight customers, we are in a perfect position to help our clients transform the way they work,” said Pierre Nanterme, Accenture CEO and chairman, in a statement.

Here is an idea of what is expected to come out of this partnership:

  • Ecosystem services designed to help clients address the full range of iOS integration requirements to connect to back-end systems using Accenture’s systems integration experience and specific iOS advantages designed by Apple alongside partners such as Cisco and SAP.
  • Internet-of-Things (IoT) services with new tools, templates, and predesigned code designed to help clients take advantage of data from IoT platforms in iOS applications.
  • Migration services designed to help clients transfer existing legacy applications and data to mobile iOS apps.

The teams working on these projects at Accenture Digital Solutions will be made up of visual and experience designers, programmers, data architects and scientists, and hardware and software designers. Apple experts will be relocated to those locations as well.
